The month of September was marked by the September in Gold campaign at the Children's Hospital in Toulouse, a mobilization dedicated to pediatric cancer awareness, filled with numerous activities and projects.

Throughout the month of September, the Children's Hospital mobilized for September in Gold, a month dedicated to raising awareness for pediatric cancers. Numerous projects and events enlivened the service's daily life, offering children and their families moments of escape, sharing, and conviviality.
Artists, associations, and volunteers brightened the young patients' daily lives. Activities included visits from magicians, musical shows, origami workshops, creative activities, fun and sports afternoons, a visit from an astronaut, and rhythmic and sports gymnastics demonstrations by a nurse from the service. Special projects were also offered, such as the creation of superhero capes, the making of a Gold cake by a cake designer, a sound journey funded by APECO, and a photography exhibition titled Being, Beyond the Gaze.
The month also featured the grand Hematology Lottery, organized by the care team thanks to numerous donations from partner associations. A heartfelt thank you was extended to all the associations supporting the hospital throughout the year, including APECO, TREC, Les Gladiateurs, The Hope of Princesses Manon, Les P’tits Cueilleurs d’Étoiles, Dessine-moi la High Tech, Les Petits Z’Artistes, Tout le monde contre le cancer, Aïda, L’Envol, and 111 des Arts.
The mobilization extended beyond the hospital walls. On September 10th, nearly 80 runners and walkers participated in the September in Gold solidarity run, starting from the Children's Hospital and IUCT-Oncopole to a common finish at the Hôtel-Dieu Saint-Jacques. Children, their families, and the healthcare teams were also welcomed at the Stade Toulousain, where a young patient, Iyad, had the honor of kicking off the match between Stade Toulousain and Montpellier.
September in Gold also highlighted support projects, such as an immersion in Mikanesthesia within the hospital and the project Au fil de moi, contributing to improving the daily lives of young patients. These initiatives complement the teams' work in supporting children and their families throughout their journey.
Research remains at the heart of the mobilization. At the CHU de Toulouse, about sixty projects are underway in pediatric oncology to better understand childhood cancers, advance treatments, and improve the long-term quality of life for young patients. The hospital warmly thanks all the associations, artists, volunteers, professionals, partners, and donors for their contribution.
