On Tuesday, October 13, 2026, elected officials from the Neste river basin took part in a training and practical exercise focused on flood risk management.

As part of the National Resilience Day, elected representatives from the Neste river basin participated in a training session focused on flood prevention and emergency management. This event, held on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, was organized in partnership with the Pyrenean Center for Major Risks (C·PRIM).
The day was divided into two distinct phases. The morning focused on reviewing regulatory frameworks, studying Communal Safeguard Plans (PCS), and presenting the Local Flood Alert System for the Neste. The afternoon was dedicated to a practical exercise simulating a flood scenario, aimed at testing procedures and team coordination.
These simulations are considered essential for evaluating the effectiveness of established organizations, improving coordination among various stakeholders, and developing appropriate reflexes for emergency situations.
The commitment of the elected officials to the safety of citizens and the resilience of the territory was commended. Special thanks were extended to C·PRIM for their expertise and support, as well as to the Neste Barousse Community of Communes for providing the venue for the event.
