The weekend of October 17-18 saw the commune of Boujan-sur-Libron actively mobilize for Octobre Rose through a solidarity walk, a gala dinner, and musical entertainment.

Initiated by Sylviane Loriz-Gomez, Municipal Councilor and President of the association Culture, Échanges et Santé, the Octobre Rose event once again demonstrated its solidarity success in Boujan-sur-Libron. This weekend of October 17-18 was marked by several mobilizing events.
On Saturday morning, over 150 walkers participated in the Solidarity Pink Walk. Young and old covered 5 kilometers through the Boujan vineyards, accompanied by the 1st Deputy Stéphane Duivon, several elected officials, and guided by Sandrine Pouzol, President of the association Au Gré du Temps. After a stop at Domaine Augé for refreshments offered by the Municipality, participants reached the Esplanade where they were met by Mayor Gérard Abella and Dr. Laurence Safont, President of CPTS Ouest Hérault and secretary of the League Against Cancer, Béziers section. A collation offered by CPTS Ouest Hérault concluded this sporting morning.
On Saturday evening, the Château Hermitage de Combas in Servian, made available by Mr. Jean-Marc Bardou, hosted a gala dinner attended by 250 guests. In the presence of Mayor Gérard Abella and Deputy Julien Gabarron, a conference featured three specialists: Dr. Laurence Safont, Dr. Julien Welmant, and Dr. Michael Humelsberger. Discussions focused on the stages of cancer, medical advancements, and the growing role of artificial intelligence in diagnosis and prevention. The evening continued with a dinner signed Cabiron and a festive atmosphere animated by Jean-Michel de Courthezon.
On Sunday, the Saint-Étienne church resonated with the Sevillane Mass, led by the choir L'Air de Boujan directed by Jany Lopez, and the performances of Charlotte and Yohan. Dancers from MSCAB, presided over by Annick Gérard, then brought Andalusian colors and rhythms to the church forecourt and the Salle des Fêtes. The weekend concluded with a lunch, including an aperitif and paella offered by the Municipality, organized by the association Culture, Échanges et Santé with Sylviane Loriz-Gomez, Martine Durand, and Geneviève Plard. The tombola draw also took place.
Beyond these days of mobilization, the main objective remains supporting patients, research, and the hope of seeing cancer recede. The financial report of this event, particularly the amount of funds raised for research, will be communicated soon by the association Culture Echanges et Santé.
