The Alimenterre festival launches its 20th edition from October 15 to November 30, offering ten films on global food systems, with two screening-debates scheduled at Cinema Star on November 10 and 14.

From October 15 to November 30, 2026, the Alimenterre festival celebrates its 20th edition. The Communauté de communes du Minervois au Caroux, the Parc naturel régional du Haut-Languedoc, and the Pays Haut-Languedoc et Vignobles will host two sessions at the Star cinema on November 10 and 14 at 8:30 PM, as part of the Territorial Food Plans.
For its 20th edition, the Alimenterre festival highlights ten diverse films that stimulate reflection on our food systems and their global interdependencies.
Each screening, scheduled for 8:30 PM, will be followed by a debate featuring a speaker related to the film's theme. Speakers will be announced in November.
On Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 8:30 PM, Ebullition will be screened. Directed by Diego Garcia-Vega and Jaime Dezcallar (2025, 63 minutes, in Spanish with French subtitles), the film explores seven innovative restaurant projects and their impact beyond the plate.
On Saturday, November 14, 2026, at 8:30 PM, Outre-Mer, terres de solutions will be shown. Directed by Hélène Trigueros (2025, 52 minutes, in French), the film addresses the challenge of food sovereignty in overseas territories, where farmers, fishermen, and ranchers seek solutions to preserve biodiversity.
The Star cinema, an inter-municipal facility, hosts these screenings to keep this space for meeting and reflection alive, while the elected officials of the Communauté de communes consider its future.
The festival is part of Territorial Food Plans (PAT), collective tools aimed at developing quality, local, and sustainable food. The Haut-Languedoc Regional Natural Park has a PAT for 2021-2026, and the Pays Haut-Languedoc et Vignobles PAT was renewed in 2023 for five years.
Other towns and associations in the Minervois au Caroux territory will also host the festival with screenings:
On November 13, in Saint-Étienne-d’Albagnan, with Au Fil des Arts: Femmes des terres (54 minutes).
On November 23, in Félines-Minervois, with Les Ateliers du Vivant: Au fil de l’eau, de l’insouciance à la désobéissance (52 minutes).
On November 24, in Olonzac: Femmes des terres (54 minutes).
On November 26, in Ferrals-les-Montagnes: Être(s) vivant(s), interroger nos liens (45 minutes).
