Throughout the month, the town united around this essential cause. Associations, residents, and local stakeholders participated in various initiatives aimed at informing, raising awareness about screening, and supporting those affected by the disease. This collective commitment once again highlighted the solidarity and generosity that characterize the municipality.
The actions carried out helped to raise visibility for breast cancer prevention and emphasize the importance of early detection. A portion of the funds collected during these events will be donated to the League Against Cancer, transforming everyone's commitment into concrete support.
The closing of this edition was marked by the presence of the Mammobile, a key tool for accessing screening. The City has supported this commitment since 1990 through its Communal Center for Social Action (CCAS), which provides an annual subsidy to the association Montpellier Hérault, which operates the Mammobile. This partnership ensures that women in La Grande Motte benefit from at least four annual visits from the Mammobile, facilitating local screening.
This long-term commitment demonstrates the municipality's dedication to making prevention and health priorities. The City warmly thanks all the associations, volunteers, partners, and participants for their involvement.
Pink October serves as a reminder that prevention, screening, and solidarity are everyone's responsibility. The collective mobilization in La Grande Motte reflects a shared commitment that will continue throughout the year.
