Over 340 kilos of eels were tasted last Saturday in Marseillan, on the Place du Théâtre, during the 11th edition of the festival dedicated to this species typical of the region.

Thousands of participants enjoyed various eel preparations, including grilled, Provençal-style, bourride, tempura, stew, and Thai sauce. These tastings were accompanied by local wines, notably AOP Picpoul and Languedoc, as well as IGP Côtes de Thau, Pays d’Oc, and Collines de la Moure.
The festival also featured popular activities such as smoking workshops. A boat trip also delighted 700 people, contributing to the warm and musical atmosphere of the event.
