On Tuesday, October 6th, Symbo and the Departmental Federation of Hunters of Hérault launched the 15th campaign to control nutria and muskrats around the Étang de l'Or.

The 15th campaign for the control of nutria and muskrats around the Étang de l'Or was officially launched this Tuesday, October 6th. The operation, coordinated by Symbo with the support of the FDC34, took place in Saint-Jean-de-Védas, at the premises of the Hunters' Federation. Partner trappers were invited to receive equipment from the President of Symbo, Patricia Moullin Traffort, and were welcomed by the President of FDC34, Max Allies.
This initiative aims to manage nutria populations, classified as a pest species (ESOD), to contribute to the preservation of aquatic environments and their biodiversity. The operation marks 15 years of partnership and collective mobilization dedicated to protecting the natural ecosystems of the Étang de l'Or.
Symbo and FDC34 express their gratitude to all trappers and partners for their renewed commitment to this mission.
The report summarizing the results of the 2025/2026 trapping season is available on the organization's website.
