The town of Lodève is still heavily impacted by bad weather. The municipal crisis unit is activated, and services are working on the ground to secure affected areas and assist residents. An update on essential information was provided this Wednesday at 11 a.m.
Several traffic routes remain closed. Avenue Paul-Teisserenc / D148 is inaccessible between the Pont du Triomphe and the Puech junction. The Mégisserie footbridge is also prohibited for all use due to structural damage. Access to riverbanks and waterways is strictly forbidden for both pedestrians and vehicles. The public is asked to limit non-essential travel to facilitate the work of the teams.
Regarding educational facilities, the ALSH (After-School Care Centers) are closed today, and no school transport is operating. The middle school and high school reopened at 10 a.m. Tap water remains drinkable throughout the town.
A new rainfall episode is expected between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., with a possible rise in the Lergue river. Although less intense than the previous one, vigilance is still required. The Ramadier hall is open to accommodate those in need, and the Luteva Cinema is exceptionally closed today.
Municipal services, the Red Cross, and the Citizen Reserve are mobilized to support residents. For any requests for assistance or to report issues, the town hall can be reached at 04 67 88 86 00 or 06 33 94 50 98.
