The city of Lunel is continuing its "Métamorph'Ose" artistic project by decorating several electrical transformers with murals by artist Raf'Art, aiming to enhance the living environment and prevent vandalism.

Since October 13th, the city of Lunel has been pursuing its urban art initiative with the "Métamorph'Ose des transformateurs électriques" project. Artist Raf'Art has been commissioned to decorate several sites, bringing color and art to public spaces.
Currently, a new mural inspired by the historical figure Bernard d'Anduze adorns the street bearing his name. The artwork, created in a vibrant pop art style, pays homage to the lordship that Bernard d'Anduze held over Lunel in the 11th century.
In the coming weeks, Raf'Art will work on two more electrical transformers: one on the Place du Pont de Vesse, which will depict the local school and the historic washhouse, and another at the Fernand Brunel sports complex on Rue des Olympiades, dedicated to the theme of sport.
This initiative aims to combat tags and vandalism. By identifying recurring sites of incivilities, the city has opted for a sustainable solution by entrusting the creation of urban artworks to an artist. These decorated public spaces are reportedly better respected by the public.
