The primary objective of this meeting was to lay the groundwork for a local professional network and work towards the reactivation of ACACO, the historic association of shopkeepers and artisans in the canton of Olonzac, which is currently dormant.
Pierre Sécolier, Economic Development Officer at the CdCMC, and Sylvaine Coste, Business and Networks Officer at the CCI, led the discussions. They emphasized the importance of rebuilding connections among professionals in the southern territory to foster a new collective.
The meeting benefited from the experience shared by Christian Faure Vincent and Wissam CHBEIR, president and vice-president of the Union des professionnels du Saint-ponais (UPSP), respectively. They shared their association's operational model, offering a concrete example to the participants.
The CCI highlighted the added value of professional collectives and provided technical insights, while the CdCMC presented practical information regarding its support for local economic development.
At the end of the meeting, the eleven professionals present agreed to hold another meeting soon, specifically focused on the concrete relaunch of ACACO. The CdCMC intends to support this initiative as part of its ongoing efforts to bolster the local economic fabric.
