For three days, the streets of Pézenas's city center came alive thanks to the Grand Bazar, a commercial event that highlighted local businesses. More than 100 merchants set up their stalls, offering a diverse range of products from ready-to-wear and decoration to food and second-hand goods. Shops were open continuously from 10 AM to 7 PM, attracting numerous visitors eager to find bargains.
Sunday was entirely dedicated to strolling and entertainment for pedestrians. The Place des Trois Six was transformed by the Festival de la Craie (Chalk Festival), inviting participants to create a collective floor mural, alongside a play area for children. The Record and Music Fair also attracted enthusiasts and collectors.
On the Cours Jean-Jaurès, the traditional waiters' race saw many participants compete, trays in hand, cheered on by the public. The Place de la République featured musical entertainment and readings, while the Calandreta dels Polinets (a local Occitan school) hosted a candy stand.
The City of Pézenas expressed its warm thanks to the CCI of Hérault, the Cap d’Agde Méditerranée Tourist Office, the participating merchants, associations, volunteers, and municipal services for their mobilization in organizing this event. Visitors who helped bring the heart of the city to life were also thanked. The event is already scheduled for next year.
Pézenas boasts over 200 year-round businesses and more than 3,000 parking spaces, facilitating the welcome of local shoppers and visitors from elsewhere.
