The prior consultation for the revision of the Territorial Climate Air Energy Plan (PCAET) for Grand-Figeac officially closed on October 23, 2026, after three months of discussions and feedback collection.

The consultation period, dedicated to informing and gathering opinions from various publics, generated numerous contributions. These were submitted through an online questionnaire, participation in local events, or self-organized debates by stakeholder structures in the area.
All contributions will soon be published on the Grand-Figeac website for transparency. Grand-Figeac extends its sincere thanks to all participants in this consultation process.
This consultation will be followed by a report published by the National Commission for Public Debate (CNDP) one month after its closure. Grand-Figeac will then use this report to develop the revised PCAET, covering the territorial strategy, action plan, and monitoring-evaluation system.
A final electronic consultation on the draft PCAET will be open to the public during the second half of 2027, prior to its adoption.
Additionally, the announcement includes information on reforestation, with aid available for projects ranging from 0.50 ha to 2 ha, capped at €1,750 HT/ha for reforestation and €1,250 HT/ha for afforestation.
An awareness campaign on eco-driving using a simulator was also held in Figeac on September 22, as part of the Eco-Mobility Forum. Approximately fifty people practiced economical and responsible driving techniques. This initiative, funded by Grand-Figeac with support from ADEME Occitanie, aims to reduce energy consumption from travel, which accounts for 29% of energy consumption and 41% of energy expenditure in the territory.
