The town of Florac is mobilizing for Pink October by organizing a special day dedicated to women's health. The event will take place on Tuesday, October 13th, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM and from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at the parking lot of the Tourist Office, former train station.
Three types of screenings will be offered on-site: breast cancer, cervical cancer, and colorectal cancer. Concurrently, several workshops will enrich this day, focusing on well-being, nutrition, women's health, and health-focused sports.
The Mammobile will be present for breast cancer screening, welcoming women aged 50 to 74 who have not had a mammogram in at least two years. Appointments can be made by phone at 05 32 74 14 43, on Doctolib by searching for « Mammobile Nord Occitanie », or by scanning the available QR code. Walk-in slots will also be available.
This day aims to inform, encourage screening, and promote self-care, in a collective effort for prevention.
