This Saturday and Sunday, the Montech Windmill saw a large turnout, attracting over 200 visitors as part of the 2026 European Heritage Days. The highlight of these days was the Heritage Lottery draw, which took place on Saturday afternoon.
The Municipality of Montech was well represented, notably by its Mayor Claude Gautié. He came to congratulate President Dal Soglio and his team of volunteers for their dedication to revitalizing this historic edifice. The Mayor also expressed gratitude to the local authorities and patrons supporting the purchase of materials for the windmill's reconstruction.
Among the notable attendees were Dominique Sardeing, Vice-President of the Departmental Council of Tarn et Garonne, and Jacques Moignard, who was mentioned by Mayor Gautié. The Montech Gendarmerie was also present on Saturday afternoon.
The Heritage Foundation was represented by Amandine Maga Legal, Regional Mission Manager for Occitanie, and Élodie Bassibey. They were thanked for their invaluable "off-camera" collaboration during the lottery draw.

The program for these 2026 European Heritage Days also included a meal, guided tours, and a photo exhibition, offering participants another opportunity to discover or rediscover the history of the Windmill.
