This Sunday, October 18th, Baraqueville is hosting a solidarity walk for Pink October, featuring 6km and 12km routes, with all donations going to the League Against Cancer.

October sees Baraqueville adorned in pink for breast cancer screening awareness. The Halle, Town Hall, and other key locations are displaying the campaign's colors. Last weekend, choirs performed a charity show. This Sunday, October 18th, a solidarity walk will start at 9 AM in front of Arbre Expo, at Espace Raymond Lacombe.
Two routes are offered: a 6-kilometer path along the lake and the Chemin des Caves, and a 12-kilometer route circling the lake and continuing on the Chemin des Houx, designed to accommodate various fitness levels.
Beyond the walk, the morning is dedicated to solidarity. Participation is free, and all donations will be given to the League Against Cancer to support the fight against the disease and aid those affected.
Following the walk, participants will be offered coffee, drinks, and fouace, extending the convivial moment around a cause that mobilizes many Aveyronnais annually. Organizers encourage everyone to wear pink, put on their sneakers, and walk for life, combining physical activity, conviviality, and solidarity.
Concurrently, Espace Raymond-Lacombe in Baraqueville will host a new edition of Arbre Expo on Sunday, October 18th. This event invites visitors to discover nature, local crafts, and environmental initiatives. Highlights include wooden games, crossbow initiation, basketry demonstrations, and the honey competition awards at 10:30 AM. A tree or plant will be offered to each child under 12. Entry is €2, free for children under 12.
The "Place de l'Emploi" (Employment Fair), organized by France Travail, took place on Tuesday, September 29th, at the Baraqueville animation hall, attracting over 300 job seekers and companies. The Baraqueville town hall and Pays Ségali Communauté were present to showcase their recruitment needs.
