The POP fair, organized by a collective of eleven business and merchant associations from Gard Rhodanien, in collaboration with the Agglomeration and the CCI, showcased territorial synergies. Nearly half of the over 60 exhibitors were from outside Gard Rhodanien, emphasizing the importance of openness for the territory's future.
The day featured several highlights, including business meeting sessions, a 'recruitment speed dating' event, and a workshop on handling 'sensitive subjects' in human resources. Numerous personalities attended the inauguration, including Christophe SERRE, President of the Agglomeration, Jean-Louis CHAUZY, President of the Economic, Social and Environmental Council, Eric GIRAUDIER, President of the CCI of Gard, and Jalil BENABDILLAH, Vice-President of the Region for Economy.
Christophe SERRE stressed the importance of openness to neighboring territories, citing collaboration with Drôme, Vaucluse, and Ardèche for nuclear projects in Tricastin and Marcoule. He stated that 'our destinies are linked' and the territory is ready to welcome job-creating and development-driving projects, balancing economic growth, reindustrialization, and decarbonized sovereign energy.
The Agglomeration supports economic activity through the Office des entreprises, partnership with CleanTech Vallée for innovation, and the Prov’Occ territorial marketing initiative. The planned MGH Energy implantation in L'Ardoise aims to position the area as a leading energy hub in Occitanie. A major structuring project, the territorial project, has been launched to define the roadmap for the upcoming mandate.
The Office des entreprises acts as a dynamic tool to facilitate business operations. It offers regular sessions with partners (CCI, Chamber of Trades, France Active, etc.) and organizes thematic meetings. Upcoming events include a breakfast on business plans on October 13, a workshop on micro-enterprises on October 15, a workshop on setting 2027 objectives on November 17, and a breakfast on electronic invoicing on December 08.
On November 23, the Office des Entreprises will host the first Gard Rhodanien Entrepreneur Forum, aimed at project leaders and young companies. The event will feature thematic stands, practical workshops, and networking opportunities. The Office also provides a 70m2 coworking space with included services.
