Nîmes Métropole is launching a free compost distribution starting Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at five of its waste disposal centers, as part of its « Territoire 100 % compostage » (100% Composting Territory) project.

This initiative is part of the valorization of green waste undertaken by the Agglomeration. Residents wishing to collect compost must bring their own equipment (bags, containers, shovel, etc.) for self-loading. The quantity is limited to 500 liters per user.
Distribution will take place at the following waste disposal centers:
• Bouillargues: 8:30 AM - 12 PM / 1:30 PM - 5:30 PM
• Caveirac: 8:30 AM - 12 PM / 1:30 PM - 5:30 PM
• Saint-Gilles / Generac: 8:30 AM - 12 PM / 1:30 PM - 5:30 PM
• Poulx: 8:30 AM - 12 PM / 1:30 PM - 5:30 PM
• Nîmes – Les Lauzières: 8:30 AM - 7 PM
This operation helps to revalue green waste while providing residents with a useful resource for their plants and gardens.
