The Astarac Arros en Gascogne Community of Communes celebrated the success of its 'Aidons A Grandir' Parenting Morning 2026, focused on ecology and family bonding, attracting 60 families and around a hundred children.

Since 2021, the Astarac Arros en Gascogne Community of Communes has organized the annual 'Aidons A Grandir' Parenting Morning, an itinerant initiative aimed at supporting parenting and raising awareness of early childhood, childhood, and youth services.
The 2026 edition was held in Saint-Michel, with ecology at the heart of its activities. Under ideal weather conditions, the event brought together 60 families and nearly a hundred children, with grandparents also attending with their grandchildren.
Participants engaged in a multitude of fun and educational activities, including creating rustic paintings, making bird feeders from milk cartons, baking cookies, trying mini-tennis, and making smoothies by pedaling. Other activities included yoga, seated massage, petting farm animals, artistic creation, and building a worm farm.
For the second consecutive year, a 'gratiferia' (free exchange market) allowed families to obtain childcare equipment, games, and clothing donated by other parents, fostering a spirit of sharing and solidarity.
The success of the day was also due to the involvement of the community of communes' services (LAEP, RPE, multi-accueils, ALAE, disability referent, youth project, Net Walker, sports service, school catering, environment service, territorial cooperation officers) and valuable partners such as the CPIE, La Ferme en Balade, Cirque&CAmpagnie, Campagn’Art, Le Studio-yoga, the PMI, the Parents' Association, the Red Cross, and Siel Bleu.
The positive feedback from families and partners promises a promising 6th edition next year. This action is part of the territorial social project and is supported by the National Parenting Fund.
