No specific skills are required to join the RCSC. Volunteers will receive adapted training, provided by professionals, to acquire the necessary knowledge for their missions. The communal civil security reserve is a group of volunteers who wish to mobilize to help the municipality better prevent and manage crisis situations. It supports traditional emergency services (firefighters, gendarmes, paramedics) before, during, and after exceptional events such as floods, storms, heatwaves, forest fires, or accidents.
Reservists, trained and supervised by the town hall, will act on the mayor's decision for prevention, information, support, and logistical assistance missions. Their tasks may include participating in the preparation of the Communal Safeguard Plan, territorial knowledge, identifying vulnerable individuals, informing and educating the public about risks, providing support to residents (reception, listening, orientation, distribution of food or equipment), logistical tasks (surveillance, handling, cleaning, support for emergency accommodation or assembly points), assisting in the organization of large municipal gatherings, and participating in crisis simulation exercises and feedback sessions.
To volunteer, one must be of legal age, reside in Carbonne, be in good health (sworn statement), enjoy civil rights, and have no convictions recorded in bulletin n° 3 of the judicial record. French nationality, citizenship of an EU member state, or a valid residence permit are also required.
