Despite inclement weather that forced the cancellation of traditional outdoor "villages," the evening was held in a completely redesigned format, attracting 252 young people and 65 partners. Christophe Rioust, Vice-President of Sète Agglopôle Méditerranée for higher education, officially launched the festivities.
The University Center transformed into an entertainment space featuring a bodega atmosphere with a DJ set, relaxation zones, various activities, and provided catering. Giant wooden games, mölkky, laser tag, archery, blind test, photobooth, and a digital wall offered a convivial evening.
The event also provided an opportunity for students to interact with support structures such as the Relais Vie Étudiante, A.G.E.S., Avenir Santé, FFSU, and Sport 7 and Co. Emphasis was placed on prevention, sports, health, and essential services like housing, mobility, employment, and financial aid.
The event showcased local resources, with decoration and furniture loaned by CinéRécup, Théâtre Molière Sète, and Tel Sète. The gourmet buffet was prepared by several establishments from the Thau basin. Each participant received the welcome kit "L’étudiant, c’est toi".
With nearly 400 registered participants this year, the Michèle Weil University Center further solidifies its role as a hub for student life, encounters, and sharing in Sète.
