The Grand-Figeac, in partnership with Promotion Santé Occitanie, is organizing a free day of awareness and support for quitting smoking on Wednesday, November 18, 2026, at the intercommunal Youth Space in Figeac.

Open to schoolchildren in the morning and the general public in the afternoon, the village will offer fun workshops, personalized advice, and exchanges with a health professional. This initiative is part of the Local Health Contract 2026-2030.
In the morning, from 9 AM to 12 PM, the village will be reserved for schoolchildren with activities on the effects of smoking. In the afternoon, from 1:30 PM to 5 PM, the public can benefit from workshops, practical advice, and individual consultations with a smoking cessation nurse.
The national "Mois sans tabac" campaign, launched in 2016, returns in November 2026 for its 11th edition, encouraging smokers to quit for 30 days. In France, nearly 12 million adults smoke daily. Free tools such as the tabac-info-service.fr website, the Tabac Info Service app, and the 39 89 helpline are available to support participants.
Grand-Figeac is developing local actions to inform and support residents on health issues, thereby facilitating exchanges with professionals and access to useful resources.
