In response to increasingly hot summers and frequent heatwaves, the municipality of Gaillac wishes to initiate a thorough reflection on the city's adaptation to climate change. The public meeting, scheduled for Thursday, October 29 at 6:30 PM at the Dom Vayssette auditorium, will cover topics such as the greening of public spaces, the creation of shaded areas, the role of water in the city, the design of streets and squares, and the thermal comfort of buildings and public facilities.
The "Plan Fraîcheur" is entering a phase of reflection and consultation. The objective is to identify priority areas, study the most suitable solutions, and build a realistic, progressive, and sustainable action program. This initiative aims to be a collective project, involving residents in the transformation of their living environment.
The municipality invites residents to share their observations and proposals, considering their experience invaluable in guiding future decisions.
