Elected officials and agricultural partners in the Hauts Tolosans visited the organic market gardening test site, a crucial program for the establishment of new professionals.

On Thursday, October 1st, a meeting was held to showcase the organic market gardening test site in Hauts Tolosans. Established in 2013, this facility allows project leaders to test their activities under real conditions before committing to a permanent installation.
Over five years, the program has welcomed 7 project leaders, resulting in 4 installations in market gardening, 2 of which are within the Hauts Tolosans territory. This initiative aims to secure installation pathways and promote local organic farming.
Several projects are currently under consideration to enhance this program. Notably, the renovation and improvement of equipment are planned, representing an investment of €125,000 HT. Funding is being sought for 80% of this amount through agricultural compensation for the Zone d’activités Mail Tolosan project. Furthermore, a merger with the integration project Les Jardins des 4 Saisons is being considered to strengthen synergies between the two entities.
The Communauté de communes des Hauts Tolosans thus reaffirms its commitment to local agriculture, short supply chains, and agricultural installation within its region.
