The town hall of Vic-en-Bigorre launched the neighborhood representative elections this Saturday, September 26. Following a high turnout this morning, voting continues this afternoon. Citizens have until 6 PM to go to the town hall and cast their vote for their neighborhood representative.
This initiative aims to enhance local civic engagement. Five neighborhoods are involved in this election, with multiple candidates running in each sector.
Candidates for Neighborhood 1 – Cœur de ville are Martine GRAJEWSKI and Marie-Dominique DULAC. For Neighborhood 2 – Acacias – Américains – Arcalès, voters can choose between Philippe BRICAULT, Alain GOULLIEUX, and Nathalie BOURDALE.
In Neighborhood 3 – Hountagnère – Herray, the candidates are Antoine IBANEZ and Jérôme ROGER. Neighborhood 4 – Baradat – Sabathé – Lasmues features the candidacy of Yves MICHELON.
Finally, for Neighborhood 5 – Saint Aunis – Chemin Vert, voters can choose from Stéphane COBO, Sylvie COBO, and Georges BLASQUEZ.
To be eligible to vote, individuals must be 18 years or older and reside in the relevant neighborhood. Voters are required to present a photo ID and, if necessary, a proof of address.
