Sarah Bouchaïb, already known to the people of Lourdes for her savory treats and oriental cakes, has set up her new business at the Halles. The stall is open from Thursday to Saturday, 7:30 AM to 2 PM.
Originally from Algeria, Sarah settled in Lourdes and worked in commerce before becoming a mediator at the Lourdes Socio-Cultural Center. In parallel, she prepared mini-burgers, paninis, and pizzas for her colleagues. Encouraged by those around her, she launched as a self-entrepreneur in April 2024, initially running a market stall and fulfilling orders.
After a break to focus on her family, she has resumed her activity. For this new venture, Sarah Bouchaïb has a large stall which she has divided into two areas: a small kitchen for the catering side and a tea room with a warm, oriental ambiance. Julien Jacob Lemaitre, deputy mayor for Commerce, visited the vendor on the occasion of the stall's opening.
The stall offers a wide selection of sweet items, such as gazelle horns, makrouts, mhancha, and baklava. On the savory side, there are mini-burgers, oriental bread stuffed with chicken curry, mini-quiches and tarts, vegetable pastries, and spinach samosas, with vegetarian options available. Hot drinks are also served on-site.
Couscous will be available every Saturday, by order. Sarah Bouchaïb also continues her catering activity for various events and businesses.
